In this southeastern Missouri study, with both treatments receiving five Vitazyme applications and the treated area receiving a late, pre-boll cracking treatment, the extra Vitazyme produced an extra 202 lb/acre of lint (+15%), which represented about $121.20/acre more income. Vitazyme application this late in the season apparently stimulated additional chlorophyll synthesis, root initiation, and rhizosphere activity to allow the fixation of additional atmospheric carbon for fiber synthesis. This unforeseen response, along with more uniform bolls throughout the late-treated plants, is an indication of yet another highly profitable use for Vitazyme.
